On the 1st floor of the library we have 84 Windows workstations with double screens for DTU students - with DTU login
Twelve computers with public access to the internet are situated on the ground floor mainly for non-DTU users.
DTU login
If you have problems logging in with your DTU login a likely solution would be to change your password via https://password.dtu.dk (use “Pubic Access” on the thin clients on the ground floor). It is possible to “change” the password to the same previously used if it complies with DTU’s standards (check https://password.dtu.dk). Allow about 15 minutes for the information to be synchronized before logging in.
Programs
Besides Microsoft Office that is installed on all PC on 2nd floor, several other programs may also be in-stalled. If the program you require is not installed, use the link “Installation of Programs” on the desk-top where you will find a large number of programs to install. Note that programs are installed on the actual computer and are not linked to the user.

Documents
Use “My documents” on network drive (H:) to save your files. Old files previously saved can be found on “DTU Homedrive (I:)” on the desktop. Files can be saved on the local drive but this is not advisable as the computer may be formatted between visits. The desktop is local and should not be used for saving documents.
Printing
There are black and white printers on the ground and 1st floors. The closest available printer is automatically chosen.
It is also possible to print in colour from a printer at Library Service. Please check our current price list.
Wireless facilities
Wireless access is available all over the library. On the 1st floor tables without computers have power outlets and netplugs.

Scanners
There are one scanner behind Library Service and 3 on 1st floor connected to the PC of the Databar, that is DTU only.

DVD/CD burners
All computers on the 1st floor and the scanner computers on the ground floor have DVD/CD burners and CD-roms can be purchased at Library Service. Please check our current price list.
Photocopying
Photocopiers are found on the ground and 2nd floors and in a separate room accessible from the open stacks in the basement. Copy cards must be bought at Library Service. Please check our current price list.
Microfiche
Some of the older materials can still be found on microfiche. In the copy room in the basement, machines for reading these fiche are found.
