On 10 September 1942, the library of ”Industriforeningen” (now Confederation of Danish Industry) and the Technical Library at ”Polyteknisk Læreanstalt” (now DTU) was combined and DTU Library was born.
The library of ”Industriforeningen” had a unique collection of books and photos from The Nordic exhibition of Industry, Agriculture, and Art of 1888. Some of these fantastic photos from the exhibition in 1888 are on display in the library in building 101 in September.
